Why did we start?

The world around us is our only home. Years of neglecting the resources we have been given today have led to the fact that the future of our planet Earth is threatened, and we witness this on a daily basis. The fast-paced lifestyle, consumerism and globalization have created unsustainable consumer habits that rapidly consume and destroy all the resources we have and that we need for life. The climate is changing, natural disasters are becoming more frequent, the sea level is rising more and more, and the waters are polluted with waste, primarily plastic, which has become a kind of symbol of "consumerist man". Every year as many as 9 million tons of plastic end up in the oceans, and if we think that this does not affect our lives, we are wrong. Plastic is a material that will never break down completely, but will reach the level of microplastics that then enter the bodies of marine organisms that we feed on. Traces of microplastics were found in as many as 114 aquatic animal species. It is estimated that around 700 marine species have eaten plastic or been in contact with plastic. Ultimately, if we eat marine species, microplastics end up in our bodies.

Are plastic bottles a problem?

As much as 40% of that plastic waste refers to plastic drinking bottles. Such bottles, in addition to being the main culprit of water pollution, are also harmful to our health because polycarbonate plastic releases the highly toxic compound bisphenol A, which causes disorders of the hormonal system, but also contributes to the development of coronary heart disease, angina, the development of diabetes, etc. So , apart from poisoning our only home with plastic bottles, we are also poisoning ourselves. Absurd, isn't it?

That's why we decided to contribute to changing the outcome of this story. Each and every one of us can make a difference and make an impact in saving our seas and oceans and ultimately our planet. With this goal in mind, we have developed special "Seabird" glass bottles that are completely environmentally friendly and safe for human health. By using glass bottles for drinks, we reduce the need for disposable packaging, we convey a message to our environment about the lifestyle we have chosen and our responsibility towards preserving the environment, and at the same time we have a positive effect on our health because it is known that glass, as a natural material, is the most suitable for storing liquids .
